I've been seeing Jennifer for years for hormone replacement therapy. If you're struggling with hormone or testosterone symptoms and you're tired of being told everything looks normal, go see Jennifer at Jewell.

After going through cancer treatments, my body needed a little extra help in the recovery process. Most people didn't understand why a 33 year old would be going through menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, nonexistent sex drive). They understood and took care of me.

Hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, restores hormones your body no longer makes in adequate amounts, most often estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone. It helps women with menopause and perimenopause symptoms and men with low testosterone, easing hot flashes, fatigue, poor sleep, low libido, and mood changes. Individual results vary, and dosing is guided by labs.

What hormone replacement therapy treats

Menopause

Hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, vaginal dryness, and mood changes that follow the drop in estrogen and progesterone. Hormone therapy remains the most effective treatment for moderate to severe menopause symptoms, according to The Menopause Society.

Perimenopause

The years before your final period, when hormones swing rather than simply decline. Irregular cycles, new anxiety, brain fog, and stubborn weight gain often begin here, sometimes in your late thirties or forties, while labs still look borderline.

Low testosterone in men

Fatigue, low libido, loss of muscle, poor sleep, and low mood can all point to low testosterone. Because these symptoms have several possible causes, we confirm with lab testing before recommending testosterone therapy.

Pellets versus injections

There is no single best delivery method. The right choice depends on how steady you want your levels, how often you want to think about treatment, and how quickly we may need to adjust your dose.

Bioidentical pellets

Tiny inserts placed under the skin in a quick in office visit. They release hormones steadily for roughly three to six months, so there is nothing to remember between visits. Best for patients who want consistency and low maintenance.

Injections

Given weekly or biweekly, either in clinic or at home once you are trained. Doses can be adjusted quickly, which helps when we are still dialing in your levels or when your needs change over time.

Other prescribed forms

Creams, patches, and oral options have a place too, including FDA approved menopause hormone therapy that insurance is more likely to cover. Your provider walks you through the tradeoffs.

What to expect

  1. Step 1

    Consultation

We sit down with your history, symptoms, and goals. No rushing, no scripted checklist.

  2. Step 2

    Lab work

Hormone levels, metabolic panels, and blood counts relevant to your health, available with convenient in-house testing.

  3. Step 3

    Your plan

Dr. Dan Butler reviews your labs and builds a personalized protocol: method, dose, and schedule.

  4. Step 4

    Follow up

We recheck labs and symptoms, then adjust. Hormone therapy is managed over time, not set once and forgotten.

We do not quote a single flat price for hormone therapy, because your method, dose, and lab needs shape the cost. Your exact pricing is confirmed at your consultation before anything begins.

Why physician oversight matters

Hormone therapy is real medicine. Dosing that is too high, too low, or unmonitored can leave symptoms untreated or introduce avoidable risk. No hormone therapy is risk free, and the label bioidentical does not change that on its own. Safety comes from correct dosing, appropriate candidacy, and consistent follow up.

At Jewell Wellness, every plan is overseen by Medical Director Dr. Dan Butler, with regular lab monitoring built in. We follow guidance from authoritative sources including the FDA, The Menopause Society, and the National Institutes of Health, and we tell you honestly what to expect. Individual results vary.
